Why Use Get Towing for your Trailer Training?

All of our Essex trailer training courses are run and administered by DVSA approved qualified driving instructors.

We run a few different lengths of trailer training courses which start with a full course preparing someone to tow safely and be ready to take a driving test through to B+E courses that can be specifically tailored for someone who already has the licence entitlement but has never towed before.

As we are experts in towing trailers and caravans, we are best placed to offer ongoing training for companies whose staff tow as part of their job role.

We also have our own Get Towing YouTube channel with all the trailer training latest tips, updates and news. Subscribe to our channel today to keep up to date.

Do I need a trailer training course?

Not sure if you need a trailer training course with us? No problem – here are some things for you to consider, but please call us if you’re still uncertain.

If you have taken your B (car) category test before January 1997 you may have already been given the +E (trailer) category automatically and usually can tow a vehicle and trailer combination up to 8250kg.
If you have taken your B (car) test after January 1997 you can tow a trailer up to 750kg as long as the total combination weight does not exceed 3500kg.

So in short if you want to tow a large trailer weighing more than 750kg and you took you driving test after January 1997 you will need to take a DVSA towing test.

Get Towing have a very high pass rate and offer a number of options to help you get ready for your trailer towing test.
